In an average month in the UK over 100,000 households will move into a new home, with the average person moving up to eight times in a lifetime. Moving home represents one of the biggest possible transitions in our lives and estate agents are enablers of that.
For too long they were paired with old fashioned processes and technology. Co-founders Thompson and Heather Staff are on a mission to empower estate agents and home-movers and to innovate the process of managing and moving home.
As an established business, they came to us having developed the UK's leading instruction generation tool. They had little-to-no web presence for Spectre and they were in the process of building a top-secret new product set to shake up the PropTech industry.
As a bootstrapped startup beggining to scale up, Spectre had been focused on building a customer base and an incredible product, neglecting their web presence.
We worked with the co-founders on enhancing their brand, communicating their product proposition, and creating a marketing communications website that would increase demo bookings and brand perception. After the project was completed Lucky Duck won multiple awards publications in the industry such as Awwwards.com.
One of the concerns raised at the start of the project was that their product was constantly iterating and competitors were always trying to analyse their technology.
We knew that to people encountering Spectre for the first time, simple screenshots of a powerful dashboard would overwhelm and be scrutinised by competitors. We looked at companies such as Slack and Intercom who use simple illustrations and motion to simplify their B2B SaaS products.
Then, we created a series of simplified UI animations to be used across the site to display functionality of the product in a easy to understand manner.
